3. Pear-Shaped Swan Neck
Shaped like a pear, this design tapers at the top, allowing for moderate reflux. This balanced reflux process enables congeners (flavor compounds) to carry over while filtering out unwanted elements.
The pear-shaped swan neck is favored in distillation setups where a balance of flavor intensity and smoothness is desired, making it versatile for producing both robust and refined spirits.

4. Round Swan Neck
With its uniform, rounded curvature, this design minimizes reflux, allowing a greater proportion of congeners to pass through to the condenser. This results in a fuller-bodied and more robust spirit with pronounced flavors.
Round swan necks are often used for spirits that emphasize bold flavor profiles, such as traditional rums or certain craft whiskies.
